The Edo-Okpa Unity Forum Worldwide has announced that the 9th edition of its Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be chaired by the dynamic youth advocate and business leader, Ambassador Julius Aluebhosele, fondly known as the Oba of Youths. The landmark event is scheduled to hold on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Chosen Hotel, Ihumudumu Road, Ekpoma, Edo State.
Themed “From Ballot to Benefits: Making Politics Work for the People,” this year’s AGM will feature thought-provoking discussions, strategic reflections, and the Widows Empowerment Program / Secretariat Fundraising, a signature initiative of the Forum aimed at supporting the less privileged and strengthening its administrative foundation.
Delivering the keynote lecture is Professor M. A. Izibili (FCAI), Professor of Philosophy at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, whose scholarly insight is expected to inspire robust dialogue around governance and people-centered leadership.
Speaking on the choice of Amb. Aluebhosele as Chairman of the Occasion, the Secretary General of Edo-Okpa Unity Forum, Comrade Mark Akhuetie, described him as “a symbol of youth empowerment, innovation, and vision whose passion for development perfectly aligns with the ideals of Edo-Okpa Unity Forum.”
Comrade Akhuetie noted that the Forum—whose name, Edo-Okpa, translates to Edo is One—has, over the years, remained a unifying platform promoting peace, socio-economic development, and cultural solidarity among Edo sons and daughters worldwide. He added that this year’s AGM represents “a celebration of nine years of purposeful existence, integrity, and consistency in service to humanity.”
Also expected at the event are distinguished members of the Board of Trustees, led by High Chief Peters Evbota, as well as patrons, ambassadors, and representatives of various Edo-Okpa chapters within and outside Nigeria.
The Esanites Facebook Page commends Edo-Okpa Unity Forum for its consistency, integrity, and positive impact across Esanland and beyond. Indeed, the Forum continues to exemplify the spirit of unity and service—Edo is truly one!
