The resolutions of the meeting held by the Ag Governor at the Government house in Benin City yesterday, July 5th, 2022 with Traditional Rulers, LGC heads, Vigilantes, Hunters, etc.: 1. That everybody currently residing in any forest in Edo State in the guise of camping should vacate such areas with immediate effect. The acting Governor has mandated all acting LGC heads to use all the security apparatus including the police, army, Vigilante groups, hunters and others to forcefully remove any airing groups or individuals within the next ten days. 2. The LGA as a matter of urgency should recruit hunters and vigilante groups who understand the terrain in their areas to assist in this task. Government also directed that such volunteers should be placed on monthly stipends by all the LGC for effective discharge of this onerous task. 3. DELTA STATE GOVERNORSHIP:  Court Nullifies Election Of Governor Okowa’s Stooge, Oborevwori As PDP Governorship Candidate, Orders Fresh Primary OKNEWS! A Federal High Court has nullified the election of Sheriff Oborevwori, as the Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship candidate in Delta State for the 2023 general elections. Oborevwori, who is currently the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, is Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s stooge and was allegedly imposed on the PDP in the state, causing internal ripples. The court on Thursday nullified Oborevwori’s election as the PDP candidate based on certificates issues and ordered the party to conduct a new primary before the final date of change of candidates, oknews learnt.
